The American Cancer Society’s Look Good…Feel Better program helps women cope with the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment by teaching them beauty tips that can help them enhance their looks and boost their self-image. Look Good…Feel Better is a non-medical program offered free of charge by the American Cancer Society, the Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association Foundation and the National Cosmetology Association. The program is facilitated by licensed cosmetologists who volunteer their time.

The holidays are just around the corner and getting into shape can help prepare you for the holiday weight gain that comes with your favorite aunt’s fruitcake and grandma’s cookies. Inner Strength Boot Camp is now offering two sessions for the fall. The first one begins on September 21 through October 16. The second one runs from October 19 through November 13. The group meets at the Waterfront in downtown Louisville Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6 a.m. for four weeks to work on strength, cardio and flexibility. The cost is $180 per session.
