The 3rd annual NOHS “Tis the Season” Artisan and Spirit Fest is coming up Saturday, November 14th from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm with Day of the Mustangs Spirit Fest during 12:00 to 4:00 pm. For those wondering what it’s all about: think St. James Court Art Fair with Oldham County flair. Highlights include pictures with Buddy the Bat from Louisville Bats, crafts for children, and a host of treats such as chili, cider & baked goods with all proceeds going to fund the athletic program. Time has rolled around once again for our annual Market Place. This year it will be held at Heritage Hall on Main Street in Rising Sun, Indiana. Men don’t have to face prostate cancer alone. The American Cancer Society’s prostate cancer education and support group, Man to Man, helps men cope with prostate cancer by receiving information and peer support. Man to Man is a forum for men to learn about diagnosis and treatment options through presentations, written materials and videos. Specialists in the prostate cancer field share information on medical and quality of life issues.

Free family art workshop held the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10 am-12 pm. At our November 14 workshop, We will be making Thankful Trees using fun foam, fabric scraps, ribbon, and markers. The Kentucky Derby Festival Foundation – the Derby Festival’s charitable arm – will hold its annual Fall Extravaganza on Nov. 14 in the Grand Ballroom of the Galt House East.

The purpose of Louisville Scooter Group is to bring scooter riders of all types to meet and ride together. Any scooter (or even motorcycle) riders are welcome--we refuse to discriminate. Events are open to any scooter model and to people of all ages and backgrounds. It doesn't matter if your ride cost $40,000 or $400. If it has less than four wheels, come join us! Food for Thought is a luncheon and lecture series showcasing local artists. This month's guest speaker is Lloyd Kelly an internationally renowned realist painter. His work mostly includes landscapes, still lifes, and equestrian subjects and is characterized by attention to detail and meticulous technique. In 2006 he created mural for the Kentucky Derby Musuem. He has exhibited both internationally and across the United States.
