You have never seen anything like this! Artisans take the century old craft of Asian lantern making to a magical, monumental scale. Moving parts, amazing colors and surprising building materials all come together in one of the most spectacular and charming holiday displays anywhere.

On November 14, LVAA hosted a public art project at the Water Tower. Over 100 artists and community members came to paint the gallery walls in a mural representing an underwater community. The mural will be on display through the end of December. Gallery Hours: Monday-Friday 9-5, Sunday 12-4

This exhibit focuses on nature and the relationship of human beings to the earth, with a focus on sustainability. The three artists share respect for the earth and a sense of responsibility for communicating those values. Come learn the fun, ancient, and beautiful art of fusing and slumping glass. Utilizing heat, gravity, and time students will create an array of fused and slumped creations. This is a great class for people interested in learning the technical basics of kiln working. Learn about scoring glass, melting temperatures, annealing, and many more technical tips. Tools and materials will be provided; however if students have glass cutting tools they are comfortable with they are welcome to bring them. No previous glass working experience is necessary.

Learn a heat-free way to work with glass. In this two part class you will create an abstract design using small pre-cut pieces of glass. The next day you will grout your tray to finish your functional work of art. Each tray is 13 x 19 x 1 ½ inches. No previous glass working, tiling or grouting experience is necessary. The purpose of Louisville Scooter Group is to bring scooter riders of all types to meet and ride together. Any scooter (or even motorcycle) riders are welcome--we refuse to discriminate.
