Beginning the week of March 2, the Baptist Hospital East Cancer Care Center will offer a Cancer and Restorative Exercise (CARE) group session for those diagnosed with cancer in 2009. In the program, personal trainers specially instructed in working with cancer patients will design a workout for each participant. The groups workout at the Baptist East/Milestone Wellness Center, 750 Cypress Station Drive. The cost is $200 which includes 20 visits and a three-month Wellness Center membership.

Learn to slip simple changes into your daily routine through “Active Living Every Day,” a 12-week program from the Cooper Institute in Dallas focusing on making behavior changes leading to increased physical fitness. Free orientation sessions are 10 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 8 at the Baptist East/Milestone Wellness Center, 750 Cypress Station Drive near the Mall St. Matthews. Classes begin the following week on Feb. 15 at either 10 a.m. or 6:45 p.m. The program is aimed at those who are inactive, but need to get moving.

These two young artists continue to innovate new ways of working with glass and the kiln. Chappell & French both work for Architectural Glass Art, the founding company of Louisville Glassworks but, are also known for their street art.
