Jim Beam presents the hottest concert series of the summer - Hot Country Nights 2010! Colt Ford brings his brand of country music to the stage on Friday, July 30. Incorporating hip-hop and country has done Colt well - his hit singles include "No Trash in My Trailer" (a cover of a Gene Watson song) and "Ride Through the Country (a duet with John Michael Montgomery). He just released his second album, "Chicken & Biscuits, and he wrote the theme song "Buck 'em" for the Professional Bull Riders Association.

The Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft will host “Red River: The Narrative Carvings of Edgar Tolson, Donny Tolson, Carl McKenzie and Earnest Patton,” July 24 through October 9, 2010. This is exhibition No. 9 in the Mary Norton Shands Kentucky Artist Series, an ongoing series of exhibitions which focus on the rich variety and quality of Kentucky art and artists, presented in the memory of our Museum founder. The opening reception will be held Friday, July 23rd from 5:00pm – 8:00pm.

21c Museum unveils three pieces by Simen Johan that have never before been on public view in a ten-year survey of the artist’s work. The two photographs and one sculpture to be displayed for the first time are new additions to Johan’s "Until the Kingdom Comes" series. The exhibition features 21 photographs and sculptures—including works from the artist’s earlier series "Evidence of Things Unseen"—and will be on view at 21c Museum Hotel from July 2 through October 4.

Flame Run Glass Studio and Gallery’s upcoming exhibit, “Centre College & Friends,” celebrates Stephen Rolfe Powell, who is a seminal figure in contemporary glass art in Kentucky, and also celebrates a wide-ranging group of artists Powell mentored over the last 25 years while he built the Centre College glass program.
