Bardstown Road boutique, The Makery, is celebrating their second anniversary! The shop's doors opened on October 12, 2007 with a roster of less than 30 artists. The Makery has since relocated, expanded, and become home to the work of over 150 independent artists. The Makery will be celebrating on Friday, October 16th from 7-10pm with the opening of 2, The Makery's Second Anniversary Show and after hour specials on locally made wares. 2 will be on display through Friday November 6th and will feature art and craft works by Louisville based artists James R. Southard, Matt Dobson, Lindsay Dobson, Suzanne Edds, mPerfect Design, Tiffany Embry, Brad Cape, Logan Reulet, Amber Estes, and others. Works will range from photography and digital media to embroidery and beaded works.
