The Ariat Kentucky Reining Cup is coming to the Kentucky Horse Park in the Alltech Arena on the evenings of April 27-28. It is held during the Rolex Kentucky 3-Day Event. The biggest competitors in the sport will be competing.

On April 27, starting at 6pm, the $100,000 CRI 3* Open FEI Reining will be held. Famed country music singer Lyle Lovett will be competing on his horse Smart N Shiney on this night.

On April 28 starting at 5:30pm is the $25,000 Reining World Freestyle Championship where choregraphed patterns are ridden to music.

This is the biggest reining event to be held in the United States in 2012.
