Enjoy hors d'oeuvres and beverages while shopping. Louisville Stoneware will donate 10% the night’s sales of Komen Birdhouse to the local Louisville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Free and open to the public, the event will be attended by local Komen officials and supporters. The program will include a short welcome and speech by a local survivor.
The 2013 edition of the Louisville Stoneware Komen® Birdhouse is a quaint teapot inspired birdhouse. With a whimsical, but detailed artistry the pink Komen Tea Pot Birdhouse retails for $70. With an intricate stone foundation, this functional cottage-style birdhouse has three-dimensional windows and doors and is ready for both immediate occupancy and hanging.
Louisville Stoneware began its Komen Birdhouse series in 2009 with a Wren House ($65) designed by Jon Carloftis, followed by the 2010 Cottage ($70), 2011 Fairy Hollow ($65) and 2012 Mushroom ($70).
All five designs are available for purchase at www.louisvillestoneware.com or at the Louisville Stoneware Showroom (731 Brent Street, Louisville KY 40204), which is open Monday – Friday 10 am – 6pm and Saturday 10 am – 5 pm.
Stoneware is naturally resilient with these handmade bird houses providing year-round enjoyment in almost any environment and standing up to frosts and freezes.
