APRON, Inc. announces its second annual fundraising event on Sunday, June 2nd . The Disco Ball is the title for this year’s party.
The mission of APRON, Inc. is to provide temporary, limited financial relief to professional food and beverage workers in the Louisville, KY metro area who work at locally owned establishments and are experiencing financial distress due to illness, injury or other issues. The funds raised at the annual events go directly to locals in need of this support. Serving as a safety net, APRON serves the local community “helping you out of the weeds.”
With the vibrant and thriving independent restaurant landscape in Louisville, APRON, INC. grew out of a need to support the workers at such establishments who by no fault of their own have fallen on hard financial times mostly relating to unexpected medical costs. The theme of the second-annual celebration is “We Are Family” and there will be a live DJ playing disco-inspired music. Other event highlights include a selection of thirty participating restaurants that will serve cocktails, appetizers, and dessert items. A silent auction consisting of travel, shopping, dining and spirit products will be another highlight and was the largest revenue generator at last year’s event.
