The Celebration, which is designed to raise awareness and appreciation for Arabian horses, is expected to attract more than 25,000 exhibitors and spectators not only from North America, but from foreign countries as well. On its schedule are an exciting competition, featuring world class Arabian show horses; an extensive program of educational seminars and demonstrations; and a shopping expo.
The horse show will be held in Freedom Hall, with the demonstrations and shopping area located in the adjacent North Wing. The competition, which will offer classes for halter and a wide array of performance divisions, is scheduled to run all four days in the morning, afternoon and evening, with the exception of Thursday and Friday afternoons. Those times are reserved for the educational seminars and demonstrations, which will focus on useful knowledge of Arabians and horsemanship. Information on ownership and its rewards, both practical and emotional, will be included.
Also on hand for the Celebration is a Stallion Row, traditionally a favorite for equine enthusiasts. Arabian stallions from breeding farms across the entire country, as well as internationally, will be on view, with their owners and trainers available to speak with visitors about the horses and their breeding programs.
And finally, the Shopping Expo will feature a diversified group of retail products and services such as equestrian-related jewelry, clothing, decor and horse care products—merchandise for horse lovers and the general public alike.
The Arabian Horse Celebration is making its inaugural appearance in Louisville, and is expected to support worthy charities as well as promote the horse industry. “Louisville has so much to offer to our attendees as a destination city,” says veteran horseman Bob Battaglia, President of the Arabian Horse Celebration. “We are proud to produce this show in an area with so much history and culture, and we are striving to make this new, exciting annual show something spectacular for many years to come.”
The non-profit Arabian Horse Celebration team is made up of owners, breeders, trainers, amateurs, professionals and lovers of Arabian horses. For more information on the organization and the event, visit www.arabiancelebration.com.
