Brought to America by legendary Buddy Guy and his management, six times Grammy elected Charles launched his U.S. music career working the whole Chicago blues circuit performing with Mr. Buddy Guy, Phil Guy, James Cotton, Eddy Clearwater, Junior Wells, George Baze, as well as touring with one more blues legend, Jimmy Dawkins.

While on the road, Moonlight Label, Charles’ USA record label, based in Chicago, has commenced releasing the Under the Cover series of CD singles. MC adds “After Midnight” the first CD single and “Going Down” the second CD single, Crosscut Saw the thrid, and now Hey Joe the fourth single in the Under the Covers” series to his twenty-nine release discography. This idea for this single series were spawned from the requests of Michael audiences to be able to purchase recordings of the few cover tunes Michael does during his live show. Truly a release for MC's following we are using actual photographs submitted by his fans to make up the graphics for each single! As with all MC’s performances and recordings, his guitar is kept forefront and is the driving force behind his music
