Local Hooters Girls will compete in a regional qualifier bikini contest at the Hooters of DuPont this weekend, putting the winner one step closer to competing in the 17th Annual Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant in Las Vegas as Miss Hooters Kentucky.
Guests are invited to enjoy the ‘Derby City’ themed event, complete with food and drink specials and other fun activities to benefit the Hooters for Heroes campaign, raising money for the Green Beret Foundation. In addition, $1 from every Sailor Jerry cocktail now through the end of June will contribute to the Hooters for Heroes fundraising effort.
More than 18,000 Hooters Girls are competing locally for one of the coveted spots in the Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant. This year, the pageant will be held in Las Vegas, where 60 of the brightest and most beautiful Hooters Girls from around the world will have a chance to win more than $100,000 in cash and prizes and represent Hooters as Miss Hooters International.
“The road to Vegas for the Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant is an exciting time for our Hooters Girls,” said Dave Henninger, chief marketing officer, Hooters of America. “This year, we want to build on the energy that surrounds each local and regional pageant to align with the Hooters for Heroes military fundraising campaign.”
Hooters has strongly supported the military community for years, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for non-profit military organizations. Hooters for Heroes is designed to focus that fundraising effort and build a strong relationship with the Green Beret Foundation to further support its mission of providing unconventional resources to facilitate the special needs of wounded, ill and injured Green Berets and Green Beret Gold Star families.
