Cornell, heralded as one of the pioneers of the Grunge era and one of the best voices in Rock today, wrote a string of hits for Soundgarden, including the Grammy Award-winning “Black Hole Sun.” Cornell also gained recognition for writing and performing in super groups Temple of the Dog (with Pearl Jam front man Eddie Vedder), and Audioslave (with former Rage Against The Machine members).
