From Monday, Jan. 14 to Friday, Jan. 18, Distilled Spirits Epicenter (DSE) will welcome entrepreneurs and aspiring distilling professionals for Louisville’s first educational program focusing on distilled spirits. Moonshine University, the educational division of DSE, will be the site of the 5-Day Distiller Course, which offers comprehensive technical training and business management education to entrepreneurs, industry professionals and those looking for careers in the distilling industry. The detailed curriculum is endorsed by Jefferson Community and Technical College and will be led by master distillers and industry insiders including operators, vendors and support service companies. The 5-Day Distiller Course is $5,500 per person. There is also an optional “Nuts and Bolts” half-day course on Sunday, Jan. 13, available at no additional charge, which will offer expert insight on contracting and permits for building a craft distillery. As the exclusive educational member of the Kentucky Distillers’ Association, the Epicenter has an unparalleled wealth of resources, and these resources make Moonshine University unique in its offerings and its premium standard of education. For more information, visit www.moonshineuniversity.com or call 502-301-8130.
In addition to the 5-Day Distiller Course, which DSE plans to offer on a quarterly basis, Enthusiast Classes are also planned for distilled spirits aficionados. Primarily designed for entertainment, the Enthusiast Classes are priced at $100 per person and will be led by beverage experts from sister company Flavorman and Distilled Spirits Epicenter’s Beverage Mechanics.
