Reservations required. The world’s religions are beginning to play a more active role in ecological issues. Most religions have issued statements on the importance of the environment and many have helped to support eco-justice offices and activities. Moreover, many universities and seminaries are offering courses on this topic. This workshop will survey some of the key publications and projects that have emerged in the last dozen years and will explore how religious leaders and lay people can become more involved in this movement. She served as a member of the International Earth Charter Drafting Committee from 1997-2000, and is a member of the newly appointed Earth Charter International Council.
