The fall season is finally here and the new gallery complex will be decked out with amazing new art, live music, and more studio spaces!
Amanda Baker's "Among the Fragile Things" will feature her distinctive style with large scale paintings that invite and encourage the viewer to relax and enjoy palette and space. Our front gallery room will burst with color throughout her show!
Dan Rhema's "Art from the Other Side" is a sculptural show unlike any other. Featured in our second floor industrial space, his found object creations continue to investigate his personal struggle to recover from his near death experience. This collection invites us to see the world through simple objects that reflect his complicated life.
We will also be welcoming Steven Bowman and his robot art "Funny Things Girls Say". These drawings take a tongue and cheek approach to the common difficulties found in relationships. Beautifully executed, they demonstrate both his skill level and his love of the medium.
Tom Halbleib has just completed a full sized robot creation named "3ee". Tom says that 3ee is a "whimisical study in the contrasts between the arcane digital age technologies and the more mundane methods of producing sight, sound and motion." 3ee is a welcome addition to the gallery and will be sharing his images in our main foyer.
As if all of this weren't enough, we are proud to have Louisville's hottest local band, The Tunesmiths playing live in our lower industrial space. Joining them will be Anton Mink, yet another local favorite. Together these two bands will fill the air with the art of sound!!
All of the shops and studios will be up and alive throughout the evening, including Matt Anthony's Record Shop, Simply Real Grocery, One Little Fishy Massage, Makeshift Clothing, Parts Studio and a host of new artist spaces! Our courtyard will feature tarot readings, food, and a bar.
