Cancer survivor or caregiver of someone who has survived cancer?
Interested in speaking with persons recently diagnosed so they can talk with someone who's been there?
Join us for volunteer training to become a Friend for Life Cancer Support Network peer navigator volunteer.
Volunteers are generally cancer survivors or caregivers of someone that has survived cancer. Volunteers (peer navigators) provide one on one support to persons recently diagnosed and/or their loved ones, primarily over the phone (though sometimes in person or email only).
The upcoming volunteer training is a full day of training that will explain in detail your role as a peer mentor, more info about Friend for Life, and anything else that may help you as you provide support to those affected by cancer. Breakfast AND lunch will be provided.
In order to register, please contact us by phone or email: 502-893-0643 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
