General Shale Hosts Open House at New Outdoor Living Design Center in Louisville
LOUISVILLE, Ky.—General Shale, the North American subsidiary of Wienerberger AG and a leading manufacturer of brick, one of the world’s oldest green building materials, is celebrating the grand opening of its new Outdoor Living Design Center in Louisville. An Open House will be held Saturday, Aug. 10, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The public is invited to visit the company’s newest Outdoor Living Design Center at 211 North English Station Road in Louisville and enjoy a variety of activities, including door prize drawings, do-it-yourself outdoor living kit demonstrations, cooking demonstrations and snacks. During the event, customers will receive a 15-percent discount on all outdoor living purchases and Napoleon Grills.
Renowned BBQ expert Chris Marks will lead a free, reservation-only cooking class from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Although there is no charge for the class, pre-registration is required for planning purposes. Class size is limited, and registrants will be accepted on a first-call, first-serve basis. To pre-register, call 502-448-1780 or email email@example.com.
“We are excited for friends, neighbors and construction professionals to visit our Outdoor Living Design Center,” says Dick Green, CEO of General Shale. “It’s great timing for those planning warm-weather building or remodeling projects to purchase outdoor living products at a discount. Our complete product line, which includes new brick colors, thin brick, thin rock and other masonry supplies, offers a variety of choices for all types of construction needs.”
Visitors over the age of 18 may register for the following prizes: an Outdoor Living Fire Pit do-it-yourself kit, 100 square feet of thin brick and 100 square feet of thin rock. Drawings will be held Saturday at 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Registrants do not have to be present to win.
According to Green, two key factors differentiate General Shale products from the competition: (1) The general public may purchase all of the company’s products directly, and (2) all General Shale products are professional grade, the same products purchased by building contractors and landscaping companies.
Normal business hours for the Louisville showroom are 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Donnie Smith is sales manager.
