Feed and inspire the healthy person inside you at Earth Fare, a new specialty supermarket opening its first Kentucky location at the Summit Lifestyle Center, 4300 Summit Plaza Drive. A grand opening celebration is planned for Wednesday, August 8 at 7:45 a.m. with Greater Louisville Inc. and Earth Fare CEO Jack Murphy. Come to the store for free giveaways and to find out more about future events.
Earth Fare sticks to a strict food policy that bans unhealthy ingredients like high-fructose corn syrup, trans fats and artificial flavors. Each location works with local family producers to offer the freshest vegetables, fruits, meats and cheeses from less than 100 miles of the store. The Asheville, N.C.-based all-natural retailer supports sustainability and fair trade at its more 30 locations across the Southeast and Midwest.
The Louisville location will host weekly family dinner nights to provide area families with an affordable and healthier option and help fight childhood obesity. Kids will eat free with the purchase of one $5 adult meal.
