The Hershey’s Track & Field Games for youths ages 9-14 will be held at Fern Creek Traditional High School on June 21st. Approximately 200 boys and girls from Louisville, Bardstown, Hebron and Elizabethtown will compete. Participants competed in a local or district meet to qualify for this state event, which will include the 50 meter dash, 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 400 meter dash, 800 meter run, 1600 meter run, 4X100 meter relay, standing long jump, and softball throw. The Hershey’s Track & Field Games is the largest youth sports program of its kind in the United States and Canada, with over 400,000 kids competing last year. The Hershey Games encourage children to challenge their potential as they explore sports and recreation through running, jumping and throwing.
