Fine Art Appraisal Lecture
On Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 10:00am, Farmington Historic Plantation will host a fine art appraisal lecture, given by local appraiser Christian Trabue, Junk or Jouett? The program is $15 per person and tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 452-9920, or at the door. Junk or Jouett?, is a part of Farmington Historic Plantation’s Saturday morning series. She received her B.A. in art and art history at Centre College and later completed her master's course work in art history at the University of Louisville. Upon completion, she was accepted into the appraisal studies program at New York University where she received a Certificate in Personal Property Appraisal. For two years Ms. Trabue was the curator and director at Gallery at the Brown in the Brown Hotel. Today she regularly appraises corporate, private, and non-profit art collections and has published several articles on collecting and appraising art.
