
The Kentuckiana Gay Black Pride Association is holding its first annual Black Pride festival.
This event celebrates people of color within the gay community. The four-day festival will include an opening mixer at the Riverbend Winery Aug. 4 at 8 p.m. On Aug. 5 at 6 p.m., The Roxbury will have a Meet and Greet hosted by local performer Mokha Montrese and hold the Mr. and Mrs. Kentuckiana Gay Black Pride Pageant, a showcase of talent and character.
Black Pride kicks off Aug 6 at noon at Cole’s Place. An Inspirational Brunch hosted by The Leading Ladies Society concludes the festivities Aug. 7 at 11 a.m. at the Shively Community Building. All are welcome to attend, but tickets are required and may be purchased from the official Kentuckiana Gay Black Pride Association website, www.kgbpa.com.
