The Muhammad Ali Center is proud to announce its first annual “More than a Word” photography contest. This year’s theme is DEDICATION, inspired by this summer’s 2012 Olympic Games in London, and Muhammad Ali’s life and legacy. Photographs should be at minimum 5 MB in resolution and “hanging-ready.” Entries will be judged on theme, originality, technical merit, and subject matter. Minimal digital editing is acceptable if appropriate. Digital collage will not be accepted.
The contest officially opens on April 1st, 2012, and the last day for submission of photographs is Tuesday, May 15th, 2012, at 5:00 pm (US Eastern Time). All pictures submitted for consideration must be physically received by that date/time. Anything received after that date and time, electronically or physically, will NOT be considered for the photo contest.
Images selected as finalists will be on display at the Muhammad Ali Center from Saturday, June 2th, 2012 to Sunday, August 26th, 2012. Winners will be announced at a special reception on May 31st, 2012, 6 – 8 pm.
