Please join the University of Louisville Women's Center and Gheen's Science Hall and Rauch Planetarium to view this powerful film about how the future of millions of girls around the world can be changed simply by providing an education. “Girl Rising” tells the stories of 9 remarkable girls from around the world, who are striving beyond circumstance, pushing past limits and demonstrating the extraordinary strength of the human spirit to overcome the odds.

The film was created by 10x10, a global campaign to educate and empower girls. Each girl’s story is narrated by a cast of great actresses, including Meryl Streep, Kerry Washington, Anne Hathaway, Salma Hayek, Alicia Keys, and others.
