LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 7, 2010) --- The Napa River Grill Culinary Cup, a golf scramble to benefit the Kenneth Black Memorial Scholarship Fund, will be held on Monday, August 2, 2010 at the Cardinal Club in Simpsonville, Ky. Kenneth Black was a sous chef for Napa River Grill who was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident on April 23, 2010, just five days short of his 25th birthday. The Napa River Grill Culinary Scholarship Fund was created in 2003 to help give young people the opportunity to earn a degree in culinary arts. After the passing of Kenneth Black, a Sullivan University alumnus, the scholarship was renamed in his honor. The scholarship fund will be awarded to a student at Sullivan University pursuing a degree in the culinary arts. Helping students achieve their ambitions in the restaurant industry will be his legacy. Sponsorship opportunities for the Culinary Cup are available at $10,000, $1,750 and $350 levels. Golf foursomes can be purchased for a donation of $1,200 and individual golfers may enter the tournament for a donation of $350 per person.
