Sunday July 26, 1-4PM Textile class with Valerie White Summer Sunday Series of Six Louisville Visual Art Association Would you like to use a few simple tools and techniques to create fantastic surface design for fabric? This hands on workshop will give you the opportunity to experiment with Painstiks and Soy wax to enhance your fabrics with incredible effects. Learn new surface design techniques that can be used to create original fabric or wearable art. No previous experience necessary. Valerie White, an award winning fiber artist, has been creating quilts for almost 20 years. A retired Art educator from the Distric of Columbia public schools, she continues to share her love of textiles, teaching and lecturing, nationwide. Her work has appeared in numerous publications. Recent exhibitions include the American Folk Art Museum in New York City and the Washington D.C. Historical Society Inaugural Celebration Exhibit. Class provided by Louisville Visual Art Association
