Have fun storming the castle!
The castle that is the Alley Theater, that is. Last year's The Princess Bride Experience, a celebration of Rob Reiner's classic fairy tail beloved by children and adults alike for its whimsical heart and knowing humor, was so inconceivably beloved that everyone kept asking “when will you guys do that again?”
No need to get used to disappointment - The Experience returns Saturday, August 31 from noon to 9:30pm.
Many of last year' favorite acts will be returning: the stage adaptation Quote-Along that received a standing ovation, the Louisville Fencing Center demonstrating swordsmanship for all ages. New this year: the “Cliffnotes of Insanity” – a rapid-fire 30-minute re-creation of the movie, with a special twist for one lucky audience member!
Again this year, the Princess Bride Experience is a fundraiser for the Alley Theater, to help them finance the soundproofing and other renovations to their space in The Point. Tickets can be obtained through their website at www.thealleytheater.org. $15 in advance or $20 at the door for adults ($5 discount if you’re wearing a 2012 Prince Bride Experience t-shirt). This year, children 12 and under are FREE when accompanied by an adult! The Alley Theater is located at 1205 East Washington St. in Louisville.
