The First Couple of Louisville Rock, Jaxon Swain plays bass and the lovely Sarah Swain sings like an angel for The Ladybirds. Releasing "Shimmy Shimmy Dang" last year The Ladybirds update the coolest sounds of the past. Equal parts The Byrds, Loretta, Blondie and The New York Dolls. They will no doubt put together a spectacular DJ set, running through decades and styles by two vinyl lovers.
Matt Anthony works for 91.9 WFPK Radio Louisville hosting two radio shows The Friday Night Sound-Clash and The Jazz Pulse. He's usually the DJ at Rock shows, now he turns the tables on his musician friends, getting them to spin records with him. Matt loves nothing more than a packed and sweaty dancefloor.
The Mag Bar on 2nd & Magnolia is the favorite hang out for Louisville's musicians. With it's legendary jukebox and punk rock vibe it topped Leo's favorite "dive bar" list. The Mag Hosts Louisville's most insane dance party Get Down Weds w/ Sleepy T and WFPK's Woody spins vinyl digging for American rarities on Thurs.
