Kentucky’s new Lieutenant Governor, Jerry Abramson will be the guest speaker at the Saint Matthews Area Business Association (SMABA) Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, 5:30 pm at The Olmsted, 3701 Frankfort Avenue, Masonic Homes of Kentucky campus. The presenting sponsor will be Norton Healthcare St. Matthews.
“This year’s event will be our Premiere Gala to introduce our new identity as the St. Matthews Area Chamber of Commerce,” comments Sherry Mulkins, Executive Director. “Our event theme of Growing Forward will celebrate our growth from a business association to a chamber of commerce.”
The awards presentation will feature the 2011 Albert Sanders Award, the New Member of the Year Award, and the Ambassador of the Year Award. The Albert Sanders Award was instituted in 1994 in honor of Albert Sanders, the founding father of the St. Matthews Area Business Association. It is given annually to the member demonstrating outstanding dedication to SMABA.
