Taking place November 23, Thanksgiving Eve, at The Ice House, 217 E. Main Street, the "Crash Bash" promises partygoers a night of great music and dancing. Admission is $10 with a donation of a new or gently used bakcpack to benefit Blessings in a Backpack, or $15 without a donation. Tickets may be purchased in advance at both Mom's Music locations or at the door. This is a 21-and-over event with a cash bar. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m. Alex Reymundo, better known as the "Red-Nexican" and star of comedy specials featured on Showtime, NETFLIX, Amazon & iTunes, will be the host for the evening. Last year approximately 300 backpacks were collected. Organizers hope to double that number this year.

About Blessings in a Backpack: Blessings in a Backpack is a 501 C(3) non-profit organization currently feeding over 25,000 children in 21 U.S. states and two countries- Canada and Columbia. The program is hybrid of private sector funding and public partnerships carried out in public schools. This program is designed to feed elementary school children who qualify for the federal free and reduced meal program, and whose families may not have any, or enough, food on the weekends.
