In celebration of its Fifth Anniversary, The Gallery on Pearl is pleased to announce a special exhibit freaturing new works by John R. uenther and Mary Ann Guenther. The show entitle, "New Edpressions," will open with an artists' reception on Friday, June 15, 6:30-8:00 pm. Beverages and hors d'oeurves will be served. The "Artist Talk" will be given at 7:00 pm. The first thirty-five guests will receive a special hand-made anniversary gift (one per family, please).
This show will run through Friday, July 27, and will be viewable during all Gallery hours.
John and Mary Ann Guenther are, along with Curt and Pam Peters, partners who opened the Gallery to have a special place to feature one-of-a-kind works by local and regional artists. They were also interested in helping the development of downtown New Albany and are very pleased with the "renaissance" in the downtown area.
John is an Indiana University Southeast Professor Emeritus of Fine Art and has exhibited his ceramic artwork nationally and internationally. Mary Ann has worked in various media including kiln-formed glass jewelry. For this show she has created framed fabric artworks featuring needlework and mixed-media.
