The Gallery on Pearl continues its fifth anniversary celebration by featuring four more of its most successful artists - highlighting works in wood, fiber, ceramics, and jewelry. The show opens on Friday, November 16, and continues through December 28. On opening night a special reception will be held from 6 to 8 PM including the Artists' Talk at 7 PM. Refreshments will be served.
The wood artist is Alan Mason, whose magnificent one-of-a-kind boxes show both remarkable creativity and superb woodworking skills.
Fiber is represented by Sandy Duffy, whose beautiful fabric pieces including shawls, scarfs, and hand towels among other things are made from exquisite hand-spun, hand-dyed, and hand-woven cloth.
Carl deGraaf's work in ceramics includes both decorative and practical pieces made in wonderful forms and glazes.
The uniques pieces of jewelry made by Angela LeMaster offer elegance through the use of special metals and Swarovski crystal.
These artists were chosen also with the thought that their creations make perfect and special gifts in the holiday season.
The Gallery on Pearl is located in the White House Centre at 222 Pearl Street in downtown New Albany. Normal hours are Tues. through Fri. 11-5 and Sat. 11-3. 812-542-0780. www.thegalleryonpearl.com.
