THE SIXTH MAN: Blue Sanity movie details the obsessive love story between University of Kentucky Wildcat fans and their basketball team.
Told through the eyes of undeniably the Sixth Man on the court, UK basketball fans, friends and contemporaries of the Kentucky basketball program, THE SIXTH MAN movie footage and interviews, shot over a three year period explores the relevance of 24,000+ fans in the stands every game as well as a statewide fan base, from every corner of Kentucky and beyond who provide the sports world with a rare breed of “fandemonium”. How much does the collective energy of UK’s rabid admirer’s affect the team’s performance on and off the court and to what lengths do UK fans go to for the love of their Kentucky Wildcats? The director and producers deliver an obsessive tale of one of the most influential fan bases in college sports.
Ticket prices are $10 in advance and may be purchased online at www.louisvillepalace.com, or at The Palace Box Office in advance of the show. Ticket price day of show is $15. A portion of the ticket price will be donated to a special fund set up for Mr. Dick Gregory, a UK Wildcat fan paralyzed at a recent UK game in RUPP Arena.
