"Much Ado About Nothing" a comedy by William Shakespeare, will performed by the University of Louisville’s Department of Theatre Arts November 14-18, Wednesday through Sunday.
The play about gossip and getting played will be performed at 8pm nightly plus matinée at 3PM on Sunday. All performances are at the Thrust Theatre, 2314 S. Floyd St.
Directed by James Tompkins, associate professor of theatre arts, the show’s staging will be very different from traditional presentations. Tompkins promises surprises for audiences who may think they are familiar with the plot.
“The production will be a modern take on the story,” Tompkins said. “We have a cast of 22 who are looking forward to engaging the audience in the fun.”
Show tickets are $15 for the general public, $10 for faculty and staff, students and senior citizens. For Tickets and show information, call 502-852-6814 or visit http://louisville.edu/theatrearts/ .
