with Pablo Wright
March 24, 2012
1:00 - 3:30 PM
Jump-throughs, jump-backs, jump-ins and jump-outs.
Tricky variations on arm balances.
Learn the correct way to transition in and out of yoga postures with grace.
This challenging workshop explores the physics of fluid transitions (balance, leverage) that allow the “floating” and jumping elements of vinyasa style yoga practices. Participants will learn techniques for jumping/floating into and out of standing and seated postures.
Paul ‘Pablo’ Wright has been teaching vinyasa and ashtanga yoga since 2007 (Registerd Yoga Teacher since 2006). As an elite level road race cyclist, Pablo found yoga to be the perfect adjunct to hours spent on the bike. His ashtanga/vinyasa-influenced teaching style reflects his personal practice of ashtanga. Pablo specializes in guiding yogis in arm balances and physically challenging vinyasas; his yoga resume includes workshops teaching the basics of uddiyana bandha technique, yoga for cyclists and runners, ashtanga for vinyasa yoga teachers, and principles of ashtanga vinyasa transitions.
