Spring is right around the corner...and so are Waterfront Wednesdays

Every year, the WFPK Waterfront Wednesday® concert series is a great success, with enthusiastic crowds mingling, dancing and enjoying the river. Last year’s attendance grew to an average of 3,500+ per concert with the July event exceeding 6,000 people. The Waterfront Development Corporation and Louisville Public Media anticipate another very successful season. Entering into the 7th year, the festival will once again feature national recording artists and local talent entertaining fans beginning Wednesday, April 23, then on the last Wednesday of each month from May through September. This summertime tradition features a family-friendly atmosphere, free admission, a cash bar and upscale festival fare.
The April 23 WFPK Waterfront Wednesday® concert is sponsored by T-Mobile, Anheuser Busch and Friends of the Waterfront, and will feature Wild Sweet Orange and Griffin House.
WDC and LPM produce the WFPK Waterfront Wednesday concert series, which has grown to be a favorite of downtown professionals and families alike. The remaining concert dates of the 2008 season are May 28, June 25, July 30, August 27 and September 24.
The Harbor Lawn is located between the boat docks at the Great Lawn and the Children’s Play Area. Parking is available along River Road, in the Green Lot, the Orange Lot, and surrounding pay lots.
No outside alcohol, no glass and no pets in the event venue. These rules will be enforced.
