Martinis and Mistletoe at the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft

This holiday favorite is a festive evening of holiday shopping and special recipe martinis provided by Little Black Dress Vodka. Valet parking is available for guests as they walk the red carpet before heading to trunk shows featuring Cellar Door Chocolates; jewelry artists Amy Lemaire, Lauren Blackwell, and Dawn Middleton; and silk scarves by textile artist Suzanne Spencer. Additionally, the Museum Shop will be trimmed in the style of the holiday season and filled with one-of-a-kind items created by over 300 Kentucky artisans. Live music will be performed on the exhibited Wendell Castle Caligari piano.

The Hog and The Barrel Dinner 2012 at Proof on Main

Join Proof on Main for a five-course feast that celebrates the whole hog and the treasured bourbons from Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery. Guest Chef Linton Hopkins of Restaurant Eugene in Atlanta will join Proof’s own Levon Wallace in the kitchen. The chefs will collaborate on a menu that is designed to use the whole hog from nose to tail. Each course will be paired with a Van Winkle Bourbon.

Benefit Night for New Roots, Inc at FIX

New Roots is a non-profit organization that works to develop a just and thriving food system in the Metro Louisville area. Our DJs from Detroit, ETI and Kim Sorise, support New Roots and have a passion for giving back to the community. Kim Sorise is a Detroit native transplanted in Louisville. Sorise was awarded with the Best of Louisville Critic’s Choice award for Best Club DJ in 2007. Deeply rooted in the Detroit music scene, ETI embodies the varied styles of music the city is known to produce. This event is 21+.

17th Annual Olde Tyme Christmas Celebration on Frankfort Avenue

2nd Annual Ramble for the Roses Trivia Night at Holy Cross High School

Compete for cash, win door prizes, and play the Heads-or-Tails game while having a fun night out with family and friends. There will be 10 rounds of trivia played under closely watched time parameters to keep from going too late. A video board will display questions and real-time scoring. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and trivia starts at 7:00 p.m. Teams may have a maximum of eight players. Cost is $15 per player. Mulligans and Split-the-Pot raffles will also be sold. No coolers/no BYOB, please. Beer, soda and other concessions will be sold, or bring your own snack food. Proceeds for the Ramble Trivia Night will benefit the Holy Rosary Scholarship Program at Holy Cross and DeSales High Schools.
