A birthday party for Scotty the elephant at the Louisville Zoo:
Grab the kids and head over to the zoo this weekend for an elephant's birthday party, then swing by the Highlands for a St. Patrick's Day parade!
Tomorrow is Jack's first birthday party, so we'll be rocking out at our house with the family. Apparently, Scotty the African elephant will also be celebrating his birthday tomorrow at the Louisville Zoo...and you're invited! The festivities start Saturday morning at 11 am when the three-year-old elephant will be weighed (better lay off that cake, Scotty!) and measured. Afterwards he will demonstrate his training for the public. St. Patrick's Day parade on Bardstown Road:
Everyone gets to be Irish on St. Patrick's Day...or the days leading up to it. Wear green and come show your Celtic pride tomorrow for the annual St. Patrick's Day parade on Bardstown Road. The parade starts at 3 pm tomorrow at Mid-city Mall and is sponsored by the Ancient Order of Hibernians- a charitable, Irish-Catholic organization. Erin Go Bragh and pass me my green beer!
