to some of the greatest fashion designers around the world. From
footwear, to high fashion, to accessories, equestrian influence can be
seen as recently as the upcoming fall collections.

Spring 2010 runway
as well as in Julien Macdonald's Fall 2010 collection.
McQueen took a more abstract yet literal hoof-like approach, while
Macdonald created a slightly more traditional silhouette with a heel
fashioned after the shape of the horse's leg.
From French design house Hermes, one
can find a new jewelry collection also inspired by the hooves of our
equine friends. Designed by Pierre Hardy, these pieces are made in a
variety of black jade, rose gold, and (of course) diamonds. Price tags
on this line top out around $880,000, and your chosen piece comes to
you in a custom alligator hide box with zebra skin mat.

Galliano dove into the equestrian world for inspiration in his Fall
2010 collection for Dior
by riding jackets, peplums, and jodhpurs, these looks may be a bit too
dramatic for everyday wear, but are perfect for the romanticism,
whimsy, and tradition of the Kentucky Derby.
