I received a press release yesterday from JCPS bragging that five schools within their system had been included on the annual Newsweek list of America's best high schools . My daughter is far from high school age—she'll just start kindergarten in the fall—but I was still curious to see if any Southern Indiana schools made the list. They didn't.
I can't say I'm surprised, but it is a little disappointing. The closest Indiana high school that made it on the list is in Evansville. Granted, it was a hugely impressive #7 of 1600. The bottom line is if your child is starting high school soon and you want them to go to one of the best schools in the country, move to Louisville.
