Michael Pollan, author of the New York Times bestsellers In Defense of Food: An Eater’s Manifesto, The Botany of Desire, Food Rules and The Omnivore’s Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals, will speak at Bellarmine University on Thursday, October 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Knights Hall. The lecture is free and open to the public.
In addition to being a bestselling author, Pollan frequently speaks about food, agriculture, health and the environment—all leading to our plates, where nature and culture intersect. He was named by Time as one of the world’s 100 most influential people in 2010, and in 2009 Newsweek called him one of the top 10 “New Thought Leaders.”
Bellarmine is located at 2001 Newburg Road in the Highlands. Seating is first come, first served. For more information, contact Carla Carlton, director of development communications, at 272-8277.
