It’s inspiring to see young people who have taken it upon themselves to not wait to make a difference until they are older or professionally-trained.
Local theatre group Kids Acting Against Cancer [3]puts students together who love acting and want to use that talent and passion to make a perceptible difference. In the past, this has meant benefit performances of productions such as Grease and Into the Woods. This year, the group will offer a single performance of Disney’s High School Musical at 8pm on January 15th [4]at the Clifton Center [5] (2117 Payne Street) and will donate all proceeds from the evening to Gilda’s Club Louisville and the University of Louisville [6] Pediatrics Oncology Specialists. The group has even arranged VIP packages at a higher price that will allow audience members preferred seating and access to a special reception.
Tickets are $15 for students and $20 for adults. VIP tickets are $75.
