Velocity Sports Performance Louisville, located at 11470 Bluegrass Parkway in Louisville, will host the 2005 Football Combine and Team Challenge. The Pee-Wee (second through fourth grades, generally ages 8 through 11) and Middle School (fifth through eighth grades, generally ages 12 through 14) teams will compete April 16 - 17 and the High School teams will compete on April 23 - 24.
Louisville, KY (March 15, 2005) Velocity Sports Performance Louisville, located at 11470 Bluegrass Parkway in Louisville, will host the 2005 Football Combine and Team Challenge. The Pee-Wee (second through fourth grades, generally ages 8 through 11) and Middle School (fifth through eighth grades, generally ages 12 through 14) teams will compete April 16 - 17 and the High School teams will compete on April 23 - 24. Concentrating on Velocity Sports Performance'key focus areas of speed, power and agility, coaches and athletes will be able to see how their team measures up to the competition and be ready to tackle their summer training programs.
"The Football Combine and Team Challenge is a perfect opportunity for teams to meet before finishing the school year and starting their summer conditioning programs," said Keith Sherman, Owner, Velocity Sports Performance Louisville. "Each player and coach will leave the combine armed with the knowledge of key improvement and focus areas. They'll have a head start on excelling during the summer and beyond."
Each team competing should schedule a testing time, as testing will be done on a first-come first served basis beginning at 9:00 am each day. The tests will be conducted in a true combine format with tests including vertical jump, broad jump, 40-yard dash measured on laser times, pro-agility shuttle and bench press. The cost is $20 per player and each player receives a t-shirt, welcome bag and their individual scores posted on www.csaprepstar.com
. The winning team will be decided by averaging the ten best scores in each test category. A trophy will be awarded to each winning team.
