Third Annual Nulu Fest--
Saturday, September 24th head to the 700 block of East Market for the free, fun-filled festival where all the cool-kids (and parents) will sure to be hanging out and looking hip. Kids activities will run from 3:00-7:00, food and beer will run the duration: 2:00-11:00. Live music by The Pass, Broken Spurs, Leigh Ann Yost, Kyle James Hauser, and Peter Searcy will play throughout the day. Rain or shine [3], hipsters.
Children in the Dell at Yew Dell Gardens--
Every Saturday morning, kids 5 and up can take nature hikes, flower paint, participate in scavenger hunts and learn from about the natural world from a variety of educators from 10:30-12:00. On the off chance you're not at a soccer game, this is a lovely way to get outdoors and start the day. Registration is suggested [4], but drop-ins are welcome as space allows. $5 for members, $10 for non-members.
Scarecrow Festival at Boyd's Orchard [5]--
Steer clear of the congested bridges this weekend and venture east to Versailles, KY for a good-old fashioned Scarecrow Festival. September 24-25, families can vote on the best scarecrow, play at the playgrounds (includes a hay-castle) or in the corn maze, visit the animal center, and ride a hayride. $10/child, $7/adult. Pick fresh fruits from the orchard before calling it a day. 1396 Pinckard Pike, Versailles, KY 40383
