I love treasure hunting and sharing some of my favorite spots to go treasure hunting. For years, my son and I have meant to go in Crescent Hill Trading Company (which has new owners) but never happened to be near it or have time when they were open.
I was finally able to pop in for some exploration over the weekend, and I found an adorable collection of books, trinkets, decorative items and jewelry. The prices were fair ranging from a few dollars to about $120 (for an animal print chair). There may have been more expensive items that escaped my few.
Some of my favorites included a framed print with two classy nudes with the words "Parlour Girls" across the top ($40), a small ceramic trinket box in the shape of and painted like a typewriter ($10), and a sign that said "Instant Relatives" above a box of old black and white photos for sale. The shop has a heavy "vintage" feel and is full of items to make your home a little cozier or more quaint.
The store also has an interesting variety of jewelry, antique books and games, vintage luggages, and some outdoors decorations. I also liked a few vintage ad posters or metal ads that they had. The store is locateda t 2720 Frankfort Ave, behind Carmichaels, and is open seven days a week. Monday - Friday 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.; Saturdays 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.; and Sundays from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
