Derby Dinner Playhouse takes to imagination with Captain Louie, opening this Saturday.
Derby Dinner childrens theatre takes a trip via a toy plane in the production Captain Louie, which opens Saturday.
Captain Louie performances are to happen Oct. 13, 20, 27, Nov. 3, 10, and 17 for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast performances are at 10 a.m. with a 9 a.m. buffet, and lunch performances are at 1:15 p.m. with a 12 p.m. buffet. All performances will happen at Derby Dinner Playhouse, located at 525 Marriott Ave.

Captain Louie features the young child Louie, who is lonely and in a new town on Halloween. In an effort to cheer up, Louie takes an imaginary journey to see his old friends. His transportation to get there: his favorite toy, a little red plane.
Matt Wallace directed Captain Louie, which features Stephen Schwartz's lyrics. Jeffrey Todd Parrott performs as Louie.
Following Captain Louie, the Derby Dinner children's theatre will present A Fairy Tale Christmas. That production will open in November.
