Celebrate National Archaeology Day with Hands-On Archaeology at Louisville Classical Academy
LOUISVILLE CLASSICAL ACADEMY
invites all students in grades 3-8 to celebrate National Archaeology Day at
KEEP LOUISVILLE CLASSICAL * HANDS-ON ARCHAEOLOGY
Saturday, October 20, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Archaeologist (and Louisville Classical Academy parent) Kathy McGrath will guide students as they clean, identify, and date materials collected from recent historical digs in the Louisville area. Classical archaeology of the ancient Mediterranean world will be explored as well. The program is free and open to the public, though tax-deductible contributions in support of Keep Louisville Classical community outreach programs are greatly appreciated. High school students can earn service hours by assisting the archaeologist.
