Ready for a girl's night out?
There’s a new kid in town.
Louisville’s already vibrant theatre scene is about to get a little bit brighter.
This week, Eve Theatre Company
opens its inaugural production, the Louisville premiere of Nora Ephron’s Love, Loss and What I Wore.
Ephron wrote the play with her sister, Delia Ephron, which is based on the book of the same name by author Ilene Beckerman. Ephron is also credited for the screenplays of When Harry Met Sally and Sleepless in Seattle.
The play, which opened off-Broadway in 2009 starring Rosie O’Donnell and Tyne Daly, is a series of comic and poignant monologues retelling the characters’ experiences with clothing that many women can relate to, such as dressing room drama and prom dress mishaps.
Eve Theatre Company has partnered with Louisville’s Dress for Success
, and encourages audience members to bring their gently used professional clothing and shoes for donation.
Love, Loss and What I Wore opens Thursday, November 1, at 7:30 and continues through Sunday, November 18.
Tickets are $22/$19 for students, seniors and groups, and are available online
All performances will be held at the Henry Clay Theatre, 604 South Third Street.
