Awards season is upon us, which means it’s also red-carpet fashion season. With several nominations and numerous major wins thus far for her roles as Tiffany Maxwell in “Silver Linings Playbook” and Katniss Everdeen in "The Hunger Games" – including nods from the Golden Globes , the People’s Choice , the BAFTA Film Awards and, of course, the Oscars – Louisville’s own Jennifer Lawrence will have many opportunities to walk the crimson road of fame in January and February, along with the next installment of “The Hunger Games” trilogy, “Catching Fire,” in late November.
In honor of her wins at the People’s Choice and Critics’ Choice awards, as well as her upcoming stroll toward the Golden Globes this Sunday, here are a few past red-carpet looks from Lawrence.
Lawrence wears a Christian Dior a-line jacket from the fashion house’s spring/summer 2013 collection to the Los Angeles screening of “Silver Linings Playbook,” paired with heels that also are from Dior. She has been the face of Dior since October 2012.
Going for the gold at the Los Angeles screening of “The Hunger Games,” Lawrence lights up the style gauntlet in a Prabal Gurung gown from the New York-based Nepalese-American fashion designer.
At the 2011 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, Lawrence sparkled in this peach/gold ombre sequin dress from L’Wren Scott. The designer would go on to wear this same dress a month later at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. Speaking of that year’s Oscars…
|While Scott was wearing the same dress her client wore in January 2011, Lawrence wore this custom red gown from Calvin Klein on the Oscars’ red runway, appearing as an echo of Scarlett Johansson in Valentino from the 2006 Golden Globes.|
Finally, from the 2011 SAG Awards is this eye-popping pink ensemble from Oscar de la Renta from the designer’s Pre-Fall 2011 collection.
Which look is your favorite, and what other looks from Lawrence's trips down the red carpet have you loved?
