Louisville car enthusiasts (and who among us isn’t) are in for a treat this weekend. Carl Casper is the name that is synonymous with car shows, and his longest-running event, the Carl Casper Custom Car Show in Louisville, Kentucky will be celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Advertised as “The greatest combined custom and new car auto show on the planet,” it is virtually guaranteed to live up to its billing. And then some!
The Carl Casper Custom Auto Show and Louisville New Car Auto Show will bring the area’s largest auto show to the Kentucky Exposition Center February 22-24.
The show fills the huge Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center in Louisville with more than 750,000 square feet of breathtakingly beautiful vehicles, and car enthusiasts can spend the better part of three days at the show attempting to take it all in. Many clubs use the show as a winter outing and a chance to have an indoor rod run and three days of hanging out and talking cars. Every February the Carl Casper Auto Show comes back to entertain the Louisville and Southern Indiana audience with 3 days of stars and action packed fun.
Show hours are Friday- 6 p.m.-11 p.m., Saturday - 10 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sunday - 12 p.m.-6 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults, $5 for children 6-12 and free for children 5 and under. Exhibits will be in all locations.
The extravaganza promises the best custom creations, including Carl Casper’s Top 20 custom cars, and brand new cars such as the 2014 GMC Sierra and 2013 Ford Fusion. A unique blend of cars and stars, famous vehicles including 3 different Batmobiles, Knight Rider, Big Foot and the A-Team van will be at the event.
For those looking to purchase a new car, local dealerships will be on hand to help find the perfect car. Every major car manufacturer will be represented under one roof.
There will be autograph sessions with celebrities throughout the weekend.
